Barely four months in the industry, has it seemed that luck is on Rain Villare’s side. First, he did a lead role in a documentary for a wedding presentation. Then, a small part in Cinema One Originals “Soap Opera” starring real & reel love team Lovi Poe and Rocco Nacino wherein he had the chance to do a scene with International Indie Actress Mercedes Cabral. His luck continued when he was casted as one of the rebels in FDCP’s Horror Festival entry of Direk Gil Portes “Hukluban” starring Krista Miller and Kiko Matos, currently shown at all SM Cinemas until November 4, 2014.
Rain started as an image model when he was 17 years old while he was studying in PUP taking up BBTE (Bachelor in Business Teacher Education).
His biggest break so far, Rain will play the lead role as “Charlie”, a psychotic guy being haunted by his past and caught in between love and friendship. “Charlie” is MaleBox Productions entry to upcoming Inding-Indie Short Film Festival directed by Danni H. Ugali and organized by Lipadiwa Productions. Screening will be on Nov 13, 2014, 5pm at Rm. 202 Crispina Building (landmark Insular Life beside Shell Gas Station in across BPI and Starbucks before Hi-Top Supermarket) in Quezon Avenue.
